If you are asking yourself what the most beautiful motorbike route in the world is, it is time for you to discover Himalayas in northern India!

We offer you a unique opportunity to escape from the world as you know it into the magical land of Ladakh, also known as Little Tibet.

Ladakh is still one of the most unexplored regions of the Tibetan Plateau. You will cross world’s highest motorable passes, camp at high altitude lakes and spend time in valleys which are 3700 m (12,000 ft) above sea level.

The landscape is diverse like almost nowhere else on earth – you see lush green fields and gardens at one glance and dry, sandy desert at another, impeccable blue waters of the Pangong Lake contrast with harsh afternoon sun reflecting light off the snowy mountains. It is a land of surprises each holding an unsurpassed beauty.

Ladakh bikes

You will explore Buddhist monasteries, secluded lakes, rapid rivers, majestic mountains, have one of the best nights of star-gazing in your life, interact with local people and see the most amazing landscapes from the seat of the legendary Royal Enfield.

Whether you are adventure and travel enthusiast or explorer of the wonders of nature, once you have crossed the threshold of this blissful destination, you are bound to come away with the feeling of having witnessed another mystery of this amazing planet!

The breathtaking beauty of Ladakh is best experienced on a seat of a motorcycle.

ladakh2Here you ride on the highest motorable roads in the world, cross mountain passes, test your off-road riding skills, experience stillness and silence such as you have never known before and breathe the freshest air there is!

Included in the package are daily Yoga classes with  a special focus on breathing exercises that help you acclamitise to the thin air of Ladakh.

THE REGION:

Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh cover most of Northern Himalayan region – which has a landscape and moonscape like nowhere else. It is largely a journey with wind in your face – spiced with adventure, nature and culture, to some of the most beautiful and rugged parts of the world.

Ladakh is often called Little Tibet. The dominant religion is Buddhist and the culture is closer to the Tibetan than the Indian one. People are incredibly warm, hospitable and open to visitors, and local food is simple but delicious.

As of August 2019, Ladakh became a separate state from Jammu and Kashmir and is now a Union Territory falling directly under the central government of India.

    • Strong sunscreen (UV 30/40) and lip balm
    • Headlamp + spare batteries
    • Personal medications (if any)
    • Ear plugs

Advisory:

    • Climatic conditions in the high altitudes vary from the plains; take adequate time to get acclimatized to high altitudes. We advise not to consume alcohol (or limit it to the minimum) during the tour as it does have a stronger impact on the body on high altitudes and can intensify symptoms of the altitude sickness.
    • Follow the instructions of the tour leaders in order to enjoy a safe and fun experience.
    • Carry basic medications during the tour.

Take under consideration:

  • Ladah and the rest of India has a left-hand traffic (much like in the UK). Remember it might take some time to adjust to it. Most of the highways and roads are relatively empty and traffic-free but in Leh we advise great caution as the traffic rules are not as strict as in the Western world and it may seem a little chaotic and confusing in the beginning.
  • We ask you to exercise patience and understanding for the way things work in that isolated culture. Some organisational matters may unexpectedly take more time than planned, delays are quite frequent and not everything functions perfectly. We do our best to provide the best service possible to make your trip smooth and pleasant.
  • International SIM cards do not work in Ladak. Out guids have local cards from which they can provide you with a Hot Spot and  we can help you obtain local Sim cards on arrival but the network is not always available in the mountains.  Please keep in mind that communication with your family or friends back in your country may not be possible on daily basis.
  • In some remote places that we visit there may not be consistent electricity, only for a couple of hours a day.
